My Healing Cottage
"A Sacred Place to Reflect and be Revitalized"
My early interests in Art and Architecture guided my studies in college. I
received a BS in Interior Design in 1984 from the University of North
Carolina, Greensboro and secured a job as a draftsperson in an
architect's office in Delray Beach, Florida in 1985, where I met the man that would soon be my husband, Jim Stilwell.
Our mutual love of nature and his encouragement to venture into the ocean led us into SCUBA diving and underwater photography. We became PADI divers in 1990.
My passion for diving continued to grow and guided me to become a PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor in 1994. After 2 years teaching privately I became an IDC Staff Instructor, and for the next 4 years I trained instructors and taught other various classes at Pro Dive in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
Friends
from Pro Dive introduced me to the Barbara Brennan School of Healing®. I
entered training in 2004 and graduated from the 4 year program with a
BS in Brennan Healing Science in 2008. Because of my commitment to the evolutionary process of the human spirit, I continued on and completed the Advanced Studies program in 2010. In July of that year I was accepted into the Teacher Training program.
Becoming a scuba diver is a little like becoming a Brennan Healing Science Practitioner... you learn the proper techniques that promote safety and well being; you can stay shallow and barley scratch the surface of what is waiting to be discovered or you can dive into deeper depths, exploring the hidden cracks and crevices, where amazing discoveries wait for you to shine your light on them. And in the end, you emerge from the depths, forever changed...
